A commenter at Scott Aaronson's blog, Johnny D, has inferred that quantum computing faces problems, on the basis of a personal theory of everything which purports to derive gravity and the gauge theories from some kind of quantum circuit model. If the technical issues involved get to be too much for Scott's blog, I invite Johnny D to post his thoughts here and we can try to get to the bottom of things.
